ColorVANTAGE Success Stories

Colin Gates "We work with an Epson 7600," says Colin, "and we needed to have a RIP for this that we knew we could rely on. Colourtools was very highly recommended to me by a number of experienced people, and I was told that they could supply us with a complete solution based on supplying a RIP, ColorVANTAGE inks for our Epson printer and a full colour management system with profiling using the GretagMacbeth Eye-One system. This, allied to the fact that Pantone colours are an established industry standard, made me decide to go down this route. Another major factor in our decision is that the ColorVANTAGE inks are significantly cheaper and this will give us a major saving in our running costs. "We get an improved colour range from the ColorVANTAGE inks and, as they are pigmented, they don't fade. That is important as we need to store our clients pictures and proofs for some years and know that they will still be accurate and relevant. All of our clients, and quite rightly so, as soon as they see a proof from us and are happy with the result, believe that all they need to do is to give us the go-ahead and we'll press a button and it will all just happen. That's their perception and we have to respect that, which is the reason why colour management is such a key issue for us, and for any other printers who want to be successful in the business." | |

"PANTONE® ColorVANTAGET inks are truly astounding. Makes me feel like I've been wearing sun glasses all my life and just took them off for the first time. The colours are rich and vibrant without looking artificial or manipulated. The colour spectrum is even and the prints don't look digital. They look like the best prints I've ever had done at a pro lab - but I did them myself." |

"The ColorVANTAGE inks help to illustrate the exquisite detail, brilliant colours and nuances of my butterfly images from my Flying Flowers book," says Rick Sammon, author of 23 books and host of 20 photography programs on cable/satellite television. "The colour gamut is wider, richer and deeper than other inks I have used. The inks make my images almost 'fly' off the pages." |
