Continuous Ink Systems - PermaJet Eco-Flo
This great Continuous Ink System has been under development for 18 months. The Eco-Flo system from PermaJet has been under long term test which established that virtually no head cleans were required, even if left for weeks at a time. This is huge step forward as it means less wear and tear on the printer with savings in both ink and user time.
The inks have been developed as a “plug and play” to Epson original inks which ensures a good colour balance. However, in line with our policy to offer the best available colour to our customers, Colourtools will write a free ICC profile for any of your favourite media, and if you buy PermaJet media from us, we will also provide you with a free custom ICC profile for that too!
The Eco-Flo system for the R2400 comes complete with nine cartridges and tubes which allow for an easy change over between the Photo and Matt Black. The spare cartridge sits under a specially developed lid, making it easy to change over.
The unique clamping device allows the user to cut off the ink to either the Photo or Matt Black cartridge that is not in use on the R2400. This solves one of the outstanding issues of the ink-jet world where you need different inks for art media and for gloss and lustre media.
The cartridges are fitted with special PermaChips that operate as a normal chip whilst printing and the status monitor will show the ink levels dropping as normal. However, when the levels reach a certain point, they automatically reset and show the status as full.
The Eco-Flo system is available for the Epson 2100, R1800 and R2400 printers. The system is supplied complete with 125ml of each ink – equivalent to about 10 cartridges!
The R2400 system is supplied with 8 inks as standard, either Photo or Matt Black and the additional black ink is available as an option.
